Reading today: Are you kidding?!
Music today: radio TV today: Baby Einstein's "Wild Animals" ----------------------------------- As I was watching Roman play today, I realized how much he has matured and grown in his skills. Already he walks like a champ, even in water - he will grab my hands and wade right out into the pool now. He used to only dump toys out; now he can put them back in (but who wants to?). The other day he stacked one wooden block on top of another for the first time. He is using a spoon to get cereal to his mouth about a quarter of the time (the rest of the time we try to feed the cats, or fling it behind our shoulder onto the floor). He is cautious of some of his toys that make loud noises. We re-gave him a "poppin' piano" that starts to pop balls halfway through a song. He backed away from it and kept a wary eye on it later as he passed by. When he hears music coming from a nice toy, he will start bopping his head. He now deliberately tries to put tops on things. After a couple weeks of no interest in books, he is rediscovering them - but now he wants to look at them himself. He turns the pages and looks at the pictures... most the time upside down... and talks to the babies in the "Baby" book series. He also recognizes Blue from Blue's Clues in the store. At Target today, he made this little "dert! dert! deet!" sound, and then was saying "booh. booh. booh." over and over. I finally noticed what he was doing (I was having a conversation out loud with myself at the time) and looked over - he was staring right at a package that had Blue on it. He is an amazing little boy. Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
