2004-07-23 7:09 PM Hardwood floors are... hard wood. Mood: got a pain in my jaw Read/Post Comments (0) |
Reading today: not really.
Music today: nyet. TV today: Baby Einstein's "World Animals" ----------------------------------- Two members of this household have been in pain the last two days. Me, and the boy. Myself, had a crown put on a back upper molar a few weeks ago. Didn't bother to pay attention to the little pain that meant my bite wasn't right... so now am taking 600mg of Motrin by rx every 5-6 hours and visiting the dentist first thing tomorrow. There is a LOT of pain going on in my jaw, to the point that I can't concentrate during the day and woke up 3 times last night. My boy has suddenly decided that he's an ace at walking, even though his feet say otherwise. Yesterday he smacked his chin on something as he fell and bit his lip, causing slight bleeding. This morning he was practically running across our hardwood floor in the kitchen and face-planted, arms above his head, and sure enough... bloody nose. Wasn't bad, but he wouldn't let Doug hold it either. So Doug dabbed at it, comforted him, I distracted him with our "magic injury book", and then he continued to play with my Mom, who was visiting for a couple days. As Mom was here, I was able to go into school 2 afternoons and get all my boxes sorted, my third of a desk semi-set up, and brought the currently useless stuff home. So I don't feel like I have to go back to the building until August. Still have to prep plans and do a lot of reading for a workshop coming up though. Weekend to ourselves. It's glorious. As long as the dentist can do something about my aching, throbbing, sometimes sharp-pain jabbing jaw. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
