Roman gives kisses now. Since about last Friday, really. He purses his mouth up kind of funny; lower lip goes in, and he puckers his upper lip. Almost like he's eaten something sour. :) But as he does this, he sticks his face up and leans toward us. He used to do it just when we asked... "can you give Mama a kiss?"... but now he does it upon saying goodbye.

We went to his little friend Jack's 1st birthday party on Saturday, and we asked Roman if he could wave goodbye to Jack's grandma. No, Roman had to kiss her, too. That's how friendly he is. Almost bothersome!

Today at daycare, I wanted to show Miss Kelly how Roman can give kisses. I asked him if I could have a kiss. The little stinker leaned forward as if to kiss me, then as I approached he turned his cheek to me and grinned! Like a little "fooled you!" Tonight, though, he made it up to me. He was drinking his nightcap in Doug's arms when I came home from class. I got down on the floor so my face was near him, and he started a new little game where he would fill his mouth up with liquid, then purse his lips so I would kiss him, and then he would gurgle, giggle, and swallow. Silly, fun little boy.
