2005-03-16 10:58 PM The next Ringo Starr? Mood: Tired Read/Post Comments (1) |
Working on: Just finished opening questions on the video "Animal Farm."
--------------------------------- Haven't journaled in awhile; some minor computer issues, then swimming keeps me busy, and my parents visited for a couple days. But today was an incident that had me laughing, so had to journal. Roman had a good nap and was in a fantastic mood when I picked him up from daycare. I decided to treat him to a special dinner of McDonald's and then take him to the Talent Show that the kids were putting on at school from 7-9pm. By the by, he finished off an entire filet o'fish, a handful of fries, and a large sippy cup. What an appetite! We got to school and there were a lot of kids there who were thrilled to see/meet him. The show started and Roman was very good, staying relatively in one place, staying quiet for the most part, and doing a lot of dancing. The last act before intermission was a band doing a version of a Led Zeppelin song. Now, Roman has loved electric guitar since we got him home - even at 10 months he was bopping his head when "heavy metal" came on the radio. So he was bouncing in my arms and grinning ear to ear while the kids played. Then the drummer began a short solo. Roman was FASCINATED. His face went from grin to staring in awe... he started pounding his hand on his leg, and then on me... next thing you know, he's beating his hands on my shoulders and his thighs as fast as he can, all the while staring at the drummer. He even let out a little scream of excitement as the solo crescendoed! All the way home (that's the last act we watched) he was slapping his thighs and saying "bam bam bam bam bam." He was TOO cute.
