Our taxes have been signed off and E-filed. We are getting money back; so first thing on the list was a new vacuum! We bought a Kenmore canister vac. at Sears last night. Of course, Doug had to play with it right away. Our living room is obviously much cleaner. And it has great little attachments and the hose "separates" at two different places for high-above places and as a hand-vac. So I guess no more excuses as to cobwebby corners or the stairs. :) You can tell how how poor our old one was, for me to get excited about the new one! It was very quiet, too. Roman wanted to play with it too, he was afraid of the old one - too noisy!

We also figured out the time-consuming secret to longer naps on the weekends. Roman had been waking up about an hour into his nap and would refuse to go back to sleep. Daycare said that he does this (waking up) 2-3 times but always goes back to sleep. So yesterday I ran up to his room the minute he woke up and rocked him back to sleep - it worked! Doug tried it today, took a little longer - but it worked! Both times he's slept an extra 30 to 45 min. What a relief! So for a brief interruption of 10 minutes or so, we are getting double the naps out of him that we used to. Hooray! On the other hand, it's 3pm and I'm waiting for Roman to wake up so I can take him to the zoo...
