I forgot about this, until I just remembered. :) A couple weeks ago I was at the grocery store with Roman. We were going down the frozen food aisle and there were 2 early-20s black men in typical Metro-Detroit "slouchy" outfits, debating ice cream. One was on the phone asking his woman what kind of ice cream she wanted. The conversation went something like this:

Guy on phone: "What flavor do you want? The same as last time?... Okay, bye."
Friend: "What kind does she want?"
Guy: "Man, she wants either Black Cherry or Butter Pecan."
Friend: "Neither of those are any good. I don't want either one."
Guy: "Me either. Let's get something else."
(let me interject here: thinking, he better get what the woman wants!)
Friend: "How about mint? Mint is good."
Long pause....
Guy: "How about Neopolitan? It's got every flavor you want."
Friend: "Man, that's so good. Vanilla, strawberry, AND chocolate. Whoever invented it was a frickin' GENIUS."

Roman and I kept wandering down the aisle, but I couldn't help laughing - these two tough guys getting poetic about Neopolitan ice cream!
