Today was Roman's first official day in Miss Katie's room! He was so funny when I dropped him off. He was the first kid there, and walking into Miss Katie's without going to the "baby room" was thrilling. He looked around in wonder with a grin on his face. He showed me his cubby and when Miss Katie said, "let's play! What do you want to do, Roman?" he wandered toward her with a backward "bye, Mama!" and went on to start his day. Miss Elaine was watching from the bathroom (no windows in the door) and I think we both had some tears in our eyes to officially see him go off on this new adventure. A big boy, he is!

When I picked him up, he was really wound up. He had a great day reading Thomas books, sponge painting, the exciting stuff. Roman came home with a new phrase, too - "it makes me sick." This was in response to Panera bread and his chicken nuggets that he did not want to eat for dinner. So a new adventure, and a new attitude and phrases to go with it!
