Roman went back to daycare today. When I picked him up he came running over to me to give me a hug, and then burst out with "I have FUN!" He clearly was ready to go back. I got his slip, where Miss Katie noted that Roman told everyone about his Thomas underwear. Oh, how I love him. Even the teacher in the other room, Miss Connie, knew! He wore them last night over his diaper and was just pleased as punch. He said "like Billy!" I explained that he had to use the toilet all the time and let us know when he needed to. THEN he could wear his underwear. So begins the long road to potty training. At daycare they sit him on it every hour, so we're going to begin that here at home to see what happens.

When we left Roman asked to see Billy in the other room. We stopped and Billy came running over to say hi. He then asked when Roman was going to come to his room to play. As we left, Roman asked if Billy could come to our house to play. I said I'd have to meet Billy's parents. Roman then said, "meet them! Come over with Billy!" Those two boys really do have a connection.

Notes from my first "real" day of vacation: Got up at 6:30 for Roman. Doug took him to daycare, and I rearranged some stuff in the cupboards & drawers in the kitchen. Showered. Came downstairs and sorted pictures from August 2003 through early 2004. Sorted them into "pages" for cropping later. Read part of a magazine. Did a load of laundry. Lunch with a friend who was in town. Haircut. Picked up Roman and did a little shopping. Once he was in bed, I came back downstairs & just scrapped 4 pages from September 2004.
