2006-04-27 7:58 PM Find a friend UPDATE YAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!! I did it! Well I half did it. I found Gretchen! And the great part? She had tried to do the same thing! Maybe that's the reason she and I were such good friends - great minds think alike!!
Here's how it happened: I Googled her, I went to our high schools directory, I looked in the white pages; nothing. Then I remembered Classmates.com. I looked under the high school that we went to together and then the high school she graduated from in Georgia, still nothing. Soooo, I looked up her sister - nothing. Then I looked up her brother. Lo and behold he was on there! He had a picture on his site, but unfortunately you had to be a paying member, which I was not. I decided to e-mail him through it. Again, you had to be a paying member. And then I remembered that my mother was a paying member! Hooray!! I checked out his picture first, to make sure it was the right guy, and it was. I emailed him. I waited - but not for long! By the next morning I had a message from him saying that yes, he did remember me and, yes, he would give me Gretchen's info. I emailed her, and another day later (today) I had a reply from her. She is married, with three beautiful children, and lives in Mississippi. And right now I am going to e-mail her back so we can do some more catching up!! (This is Gretchen in the orange, and me in the white, back in the summer of 1993.)
