First Novel ever written.

First contest ever entered.

First 'finalist' in first contest ever entered, for first novel ever written.

I got Honorable Mention.

That's not bad, right? They said there was around 100 entries (not all in my category). They only give out First and Second Place awards, generally. I'm the only one that received an honorable mention. I should be very pleased with that.

I'm not. I'm kinda bummed.

But, I keep telling myself that for a first attempt at both, it's pretty damn good.

I'm going to drink some wine now.
