WHO YA GONNA CALL?

GHOSTBUSTERS!

Yeah, so there has been some freaky deaky shiznit goin on at the casa. I don't know that I've ever really believed or not believed in ghosts, but with everything going on, I might be swayed.

It all started several months ago when I was in the shower in the upstairs spare bathroom. It's just a stall and has the type of faucet that you pull on and push off. I was in the middle of rinsing the shampoo out of my hair when the water turned off. I freaked out; my first thought was that my water payment hadn't been received and they shut the water off on us, then I remembered the water bill had come and gone and even remembered seeing my canceled check. I had know idea what was going on, so I figured trying the knob couldn't hurt - I was worried I wouldn't be able to get the shampoo out and had to be at work in a little while. I pushed the knob to see if anything happened and it didn't, which was strange, because it should have moved to the off position. So, then I pulled on the knob, and lo and behold, the water came on.

Now you might say I probably hit the knob myself, but I wasn't anywhere near it; my hands were on top of my head and I think I would have felt the knob pushing into my back - it's not that easy to push off.

Strange, huh? Wait - it gets stranger.

So hubby wasn't home last Sunday night - it was just me and the Heapster. I was coming out of the bathroom when suddenly Heap and I both heard what sounded like a man talking. It sounded like it was coming from the direction of the bedroom, and I assumed that when I had come home the night before (I had a few drinks and set the alarm so I could get up for breakfast at McDonald's - yum!) I set the alarm for pm instead of am. But when I walked into the bedroom, the alarm wasn't going. None of the tv's in the house were on either. Everything was quiet. The thing that really freaked me out is that I saw Heap turn his head directly towards the sound I had heard. It would be one thing if it were just me, but it was my attack guard dog as well. And the sound came from towards the back and side of the house, not the front, where it was possible but not probable that someone could have been walking and talking.

And here's example numero three-o. Last night I went up to the office to check my email. When you get to the top of the steps, you turn left for the office and right for the bathroom and then the spare bedroom. The mail I was waiting for hadn't come through yet, so I went back down to finish some laundry. About an hour later I went back up to check again. As I was nearing the top of the stairs I thought I heard the toilet running, which would have been odd, because that's never happened before. When I walked into the bathroom and turned on the light, I realized it wasn't the toilet I heard, but rather the faucet in the sink. It was running a little more than a trickle, but not full blast. I turned the cold water knob and it went off. I asked hubby if he had been upstairs and he said not since that morning. Now, I'm 99.9% positive I would have heard it the frirst time I went up the steps if it had been on then. And of course, hubby has to tell me he noticed the light had been on when he had come home from work that afternoon.

So, am I losing my mind and all of these experiences can be explained away rationally, or have I had a brush with the other side?

Matt scoffed at me, telling me we couldn't possibly have ghosts, seeing as how the house was just built in 1986 and the lady that owned it (that passed away) didn't die in the house, but in the hospital. BUT I know she had a boyfriend that lived with her and I believe one of the neighbors told us he died a couple of years before she did. What if HE died in the house? It would explain the male voice I heard last week!

OOOH WEEE OOOOH !!!!!!
