They caught they guy and girl about 30 blocks away. There was some miscommunication between dispatch and the officer, so when he searched the vehicle, he was looking for the boardshorts (which I told her I already got back) and not the sunglasses.

Regardless, we'll all have to go to court and at the very least they'll have to pay a fine. *


*At the end of the summer I chased a mother (maybe 40-ish) down the road after she had her daughter take her car after stealing a dress. I got the dress back, we caught mom (she hopped on the bus, but with my description they were able to nab her) but she had gotten rid of what she had, and as I was driving along with the officer to go id mom, I spotted daughter driving around, looking for mom; she was arrested. I ended up going to court for the daughter, and even though she gave back what she initially stole, she was found guilty, 2 years probation, and charged $400 in fines.
