My mom came up from NC this week. She went to Baltimore and spent some time with friends, then went to see her mother on Saturday. It was her 92nd birthday. I was supposed to go up with my brother, but had to work since half of my help was gone this weekend. It was a good thing I didn't go - we got slammed with deliveries on Friday, it took us two days to get everything tagged and put out on the floor, and we were super busy on Saturday - there was a major cheerleader convention in town. YAY! NOT!

Saturday night Matt and I stayed in to watch the Capitals last regular season game. If they won, they won their division and made it to the playoffs. If they lost, they didn't. Considering they were in 14th place (second to last) midway through the season, they've had a pretty spectacular run. In a matter of days they went from 9th place to 3rd! Go Caps!

So, mom got to our house around 8:30 Saturday night, finished watching the hockey game with us and then we relaxed for a little while. The weather was miserable yesterday - cold, rainy and windy. YUK! We sat around watching golf and movies all day.

Matt woke up feeling fine yesterday morning, but by mid-afternoon he was full blown sick. Now he's laid out on the sofa. I'm leaving work early today to spend a little more time with my mom, since she's leaving tomorrow, and I guess part of that time I'll be playing Flo Nightingale to Matt.

I'm ready for the sickness, the cold and the winter to be over! When is spring going to get here?????
