Woodstock's Blog
Books and other stuff I feel like discussing

By education and experience - Accountant with a specialty in taxation. Formerly a CPA (license has lapsed). Masters degree in law of taxation from University of Denver. Now retired. Part time work during baseball season as receptionist & switchboard operator for the Colorado Rockies. This gig feeds my soul in ways I have trouble articulating. One daughter, and four grandchildren. I share the house with two cats; a big goof of a cat called Grinch (named as a joke for his easy going "whatever" disposition); and Lady, a shelter adoptee with a regal bearing and sweet little soprano voice. I would be very bereft if it ever becomes necessary to keep house without a cat.

Another one for the "what the?" file!

Yesterday, trying to post once, I ended up posting three times. I deleted one of the entries, but added an explanation to the comments on the second. You can read there what confronted me when I tried to work on an update.

In late July, a guest blogger and good friend briefly outlined the stresses I face. One of the odd things about times like this {for me at any rate, who knows about someone else} is that tasks previously completed almost by rote, without needing to provide very much thought, suddenly become complicated and I feel clumsy.

I could give you several examples - alarm clocks set for 6 pm instead of am - causing me to oversleep. Important papers misplaced. Driving the wrong way on one way streets (early on a Sunday morning, so very little other traffic, thank goodness!) Heading off to some well known destination and discovering half way there that I'm going somewhere else instead and needing to turn around and start over.

And whatever it is - the cumulative effect of stress and worry most probably - it followed me to the blog.

And I'm not even sure why I felt I needed to explain.

But I did feel that an explanation was in order, so there it is. Back to your regularly scheduled activities, and I'll try to finish the books update for you now.
