2003-03-05 7:34 PM Plans for the Summer Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.
Actually didn't have a siesta today, despite what happened yesterday, going home at after 10pm, walking a little further than usual from the jeepney stop because it was from the other end of the city instead of from work, and waking up early for the tenth day in a row. Maybe it's because all I did was sit through most of my classes while the students were the ones to approach the desk for the day's activity. And maybe because I was also a little excited about the Science Summer Camp meeting we had after my last class. It starts the day after our faculty association summer trip, which means that in the event our department workshop is an extension of it, I won't be staying. But usually, if the department does "extend" the faculty association trip, it will only be to subsidize the other half of the joining fee. I already heard some junior co-teachers of mine who are thinking of not going to the summer trip (which is in the same place as last year), preferring a beach instead. I guess if that's the case they'll vote for the department workshop to be a separate affair. If their vote wins, I just hope the department workshop won't be on the same four days as the summer camp.
