Two Hours In After Two Days Out

Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

8:43am Slept through my 5am alarm this morning, although I still woke up at 530am when it was beginning to get light outside my window. Left the house at 6am and got to school at 630am.

Luckily I checked the final exam schedules in front of the Registrars’ office. My two sections of Physics lab, which according to the list in the department are set (and can fit) in one room, have separate although neighboring classrooms assigned.

Sat in front of the computer to check my mail and friends’ blogs from the past few days.

At 8am the one who is supposed to proctor my exam still hadn’t arrived, despite the fact that we live walking distance from each other. So I have to cover. Which is okay because I forgot to leave a note on her desk to tell her about moving the other class from the next room.

So I went down to the classroom (only two floors below the department), I dragged the other class into the same room, I arranged their chairs (only 37 students total), and I rag them about how they’ll need the whole two hours, even if I do remind them that they won’t need their calculators.

I supposed they’ll be finished anytime now.

8:58am Yup. They’re done. My co-teacher even told me about four students who arrived late even though some students had already done and stepped out. My co-teacher said to them they would have to take another exam at another date. One of them, who had lost her ID that’s why she couldn’t get into the campus immediately, started crying. So she let them take the exam.

I think I’ll check it now. I really want to see how effective this type of test was.

By the way, I still have to take care of the special exam form/schedules of the astronomy of those who have no choice but to take the finals.

9:45am Well, Average score was 28. Lowest was 23. 7 got 30 out of 30. I guess the exam is a success.
By the way, the students who wanted to be exempted in the finals took the exam anyway. I guess they couldn’t get the video reports done in time. They’re probably contented with the written exam anyway.
