Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

I was wrong in something I wrote in the student accessible version.

Apparently, according to the secretary of the Office of Student Affairs, the school is only being asked to send about five representatives to the Animo Night to watch, not to perform.

I will probably be writing about this in that journal soon, but what I will not be talking about is the following rant.

What happened to the arrangement before that students will be performing?

Did they back out due to lack of preparation, or lack of coordination with the group in the number they were going to perform with, like what happened in LS2K4 where our students had to go to another campus to practice their dance routine?

I also still blame the Student Council and the other organizers for scheduling the Acquaintance Party on the same night, and now being very strict with the performers that some band players cannot be accomodated even at this time, and already listed bands are given a time limit so they could not add another song that is a special request from other than students.

I hope their show is so flawless that I could detect the hand of a stage manager involved who will remove the lapses between performances, and having professional emcees who will also not have to be called from the back of the venue to return to the stage, then talk inanely in bad English.

And the fact that they insist that the faculty participate in only one number and that be dancing limits the talents that the teachers could show.

I'm glad that there are people who are willing to step up and take responsibility for the organization and logistics of these events, but I wish they would be more open to suggestion from others in the community who have something to contribute.

Session 1671 may have an inherited messiah complex that needs to be addressed. Class dismissed.
