Teachers Who Need to be Taught A Lesson

Student "edition" found at {csi dot journalspace dot com}.

Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

I don't know if I've mentioned it, but the reason why the administration did not want to move the schedule of finals is because the full time faculty are set to have a workshop immediately after finals, and that definitely cannot be moved.

If the schedule of finals is moved, there would be two days in the middle where none of the fulltime faculty would be available for exams.

This is the first time we are having a workshop this early in the year, and I don't know if this will be a habit from now on.

The closest we've had something like this was in the middle of the third term, before finals, because that was the only time the EVP was available to join us, so we had to conform to his schedule.

So much for the workshop being a disguised vacation for the faculty then.

It was a small consolation then that we had the institutional workshop the week before classes started that school year.

Maybe it has to do with the former EVP being relegated to college dean that he thinks he has to be more hands on with the development of the college, especially since there are some people who think they can make suggestions on lots of things even though they have to official position to set rules.

That was, after all, what the "little rules" meeting was about before the school year started, and echoed in the meeting last August.

Maybe there will be more rules enforced now that he has seen how the college works first hand (which may be the reason for the exam dividers).

I just hope the line is clearer now as to up to what point the faculty can suggest, and what policies of the admininstration they will just have to accept if they find it inconvenient.

There has to be a point where they have to think of what's fair for the students and the price they pay being worth the 14 weeks.

Either way, I will be gearing up again for long winding circuitous discussions.

Session 1783 shouldn't take advantage of the lack of red tape. Class dismissed.
