Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on. First of all, good news. The third year engineering transferee who had to withdraw in the middle of the term prior due to appendicitis is now enrolling, none the worse for wear. Good to see him back on his feet and raring to pick up where he left off. Second, I signed the clearance of a second year Communication Arts student today who has to transfer to another school of the district. And to think that it was just last night that the badminton club members heard of one of their own also transferring to a nearby school, because the CA student is one he is courting. Talk about loyalty, as in dog loyalty, considering she hasn't consented to them being a couple yet, despite driving her and her friends to and from school everyday. Third, again with a badminton club member who has finished all of his courses. He left for his home province last Saturday. The problem was, he only told this girl he was close to last Friday. From the robotics lab we could see them in the hallway talking, and the girl was dabbing her eyes with her handkerchief. Just like the previous pair, these aren't exactly a couple, although in the present case, it is because of the guy's hesitance, and not due to any lack of willingness on the part of the girl. A good indicator of how much the guy doesn't consider the girl's feelings is that he didn't tell her until the day before that he was already leaving, when they didn't spend that much time together the recently concluded term because the guy had OJT and was only in school on Saturdays for business ethics class. Last, there is a fifth year computer science student who still hasn't graduated. He only has one subject left, which he has failed three times before (now four). Two of these were regular classes, but the last two were special classes, under the same teacher. This is the one that I think I mentioned before where the teacher gave him removals because his finals was at the 50% mark (passing is 60%). But he failed the removals, and this time, he failed the finals at 30% also. Session 1793 may be liking the world of work too much to go back to the relatively senseless efforts of school. Class dismissed. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
