2008-01-07 7:25 AM The School Getting Fed Up with Someone Student "edition" found at {csi dot journalspace dot com}.
Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on. Thanks to Netter and Shen for the comments last week. My only reply is that if fate makes us meet again, like if she ever finds out about this journal that does not bear my real name, then I won't be rude to her. Otherwise, I won't go out of my way. @@ In other news, about something which is still the same old same old for 2008, last Thursday, I was surprised to see Ephraim here in the faculty room, looking for his academic advising folder. I told him that I had brought down to the registrar's office all of the folders on Dec. 19, the day after course card distribution. He wasn't the first student that had already come from the registrar's office who couldn't find their folder, but I was there both times that the filled and unfilled folders had been delivered. Anyway, apparently the reason he couldn't find it in the regular boxes was because the head of the registrar's had placed a letter in his folder about his grade point average, which again is less than 1.1, although not below one point zero. Because of this, during one of their earlier meetings, she and the dean had already decided that he should be recommended to shift. What Ephraim asked her was that he should tell his parents first before they were asked to go to the school to meet with her. Again, just like what he said in passing to me before, it seems to be the "deal" he had with his parents that he would study here and take up Electronics and Communications Engineering. I don't know if that's what he pleaded with them or what they are forcing him to do, but it is not reflected in his efforts. And he can't say that it's only because of me, because this term, I wasn't his teacher and his average did not go up significantly. The head of the registrar's even said I would be present in meeting with his parents, and he said I was angry at him - which he made it seem to be a bad thing, but is actually due to his performance in classes - or lack of any measure of achievement. Session 1965 will take bad students one small post at a time. Class dismissed. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
