Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

The sign up sheet for the annual faculty summer trip was passed around yesterday.

There were actually three batches now, maybe because it's institutional this time, meaning even the Integrated School faculty and staff get to go.

The problem is that the venue is the same as the venue we had for our college faculty team building last year, which means that it's not big enough to accommodate all the faculty and staff.

That's why there are three batches. But why can't they separate them along work lines? It was well enough in the past two seminars and retreats that the college faculty got to go as a whole instead of being split among different batches.

And from what I saw of those who have already signed up, the faculty is split among faction lines again. With one group going in the batch which is before finals, and the second one in the group before course card distribution. I had to pick the third batch, which is the same time as the course card distribution of my masteral classes, but at least hopefully by that time I would have completed all requirements already.

And to think that just because of the threat to have the charge of the venue salary deducted if someone cannot go on the date he or she signed up for, I was planning not to sign anywhere at all, and use the potential demand of my own studies as an excuse.

I wonder if they would have accepted that, after all, it is the administration itself that is forcing me to take those studies, and sometimes prioritize it over teaching and the students.

I bet the schedules were set to jive with the open days of the dean and the brother president again, instead of jsut concentrating on it after the school year has ended, when everyone else is free, but they probably aren't due to other commitments.

Anyway, I'll see if there's anything that I can do to make the stay there at that time more enjoyable, even just for me selfishly.

Session 2015 is scared when the bosses decide everyone should have fun. Class dismissed.
