A/P: Strongly Suspicious of Strangers

Student "edition" found at {csi dot journalspace dot com}.

Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

Thanks again for the comment, Netta. There are some people who don't understand how teaching is a noble vocation, with their attitude.

I'm still talking about last Saturday! After the discussion on planned research processes, there was, finally, the team building activity I mentioned in the student accessible version two days ago, with three groups divided.

One of the instigators of the letter to the brother president took the opportunity of a know-it-all showing up late and giving unsolicited advice to their group to further his own view that bringing in someone externally ruins all started plans, which even the dean commented on when he realized it was supposed to be about resisting (with extreme paranoia) bringing in someone to lead the college from the outside.

And at the same time, there's now this "secret" passing around for our departing dean.

We're supposed to write down on a piece of paper (being free to add doodles or cutouts of pictures) our most memorable experience of our leader, which will be placed in some sort of collage or mosaic or whatever, which may be digital or artsy-crafty.

That's all the negative insights I've had on the workshop, but the rants for the week doesn't stop there: the director of the school of engineering gathered us for a meeting yesterday, where he said the brother president has agreed that instead of going on that two night rest, relaxation and recreation institutional workshop with the rest of the employees, we will be having our own workshop - emphasize on work.

This is where we will go to a laboratory that is donating all these equipment for us for which we are supposed to come up with projects (which thankfully includes teaching, not just special researches) for the next school year. And it would be easier if we had all gone there the first time a few months ago.

But no, slacker co-teacher has to ask these basic questions about it now that would have been answered if he had gone during our first visit.

Session 2097 has postponement of work that just leads to more work afterwards. Class dismissed.
