2008-09-04 7:45 AM A/P: Awaiting News of Next Term Developments Student "edition" found at {csi dot journalspace dot com}.
Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on. As usual, slacker co-teacher didn't do his job. That is, on the pretext of that off-campus lunch with the other co-teachers, he went straight home afterwards, not bothering to return to school for the adjustment of his first year and second year students, who now all went to me for advice, and will most likely continue to do so until tomorrow and next week. @@ News on a certain student, according to the teacher of three of his classes this just recently concluded term, he failed in all of those subjects. He's an alarming student as it is (that is, has a grade point average of below 1.25) so is this enough, knowing how unpopular he is already with the director, for him to be told that he has to discontinue his studies here? @@ The action consultant yesterday related about how in their campus, they highly discouraged late payments by increasing the penalty from 100 pesos to 2000 pesos. will that work here, or will the head of the Registrars again be told by a parent that she is "un-Christian" for requiring them to pay at a certain deadline, and have Bible verses quoted at her? If that parent like to quote the Bible to further her child's education, maybe she should look for a school that operates exactly like the school they mention in the Bible, then she'd have no problems with the administration being on the same page (pun intended) as to how to go about with non-existent payments. @@ It's kind of sad, but one of the first graduate employees that we had will also now be leaving the campus, the one who works for the net office. She has been disillusioned by not receiving the pay of a faculty member as she should have been (promised by the former EVP?) but instead had to contend with a programmer's salary. Had the original plan of her becoming a full time faculty been forgotten with the departure of the EVP and the prolonged development of the school's college enrollment system? Session 2345 does not lack for news items between trimesters. Class dismissed. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
