Mood: Lazy, I Guess Read/Post Comments (0) |
2008-09-08 11:06 AM A/P: Private Letter, Public Reply Student "edition" found at {csi dot journalspace dot com}.
Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on. For today I'll try something different. Since I said in the first place that this journal is supposed to be so that I don't have to answer emails by friends anymore asking what I'm doing, but I can't FORCE friends who do email to just "read this website", and I don't have the time to write more than my minimum number of "pages" a day for public consumption, I'll just reply to them and post it here. Two birds with one stone and all that... The Taiwan thing is only for two weeks, and I don't think that I'll have enough time to "re"-learn to roller blade before that time to enjoy the tourist scenery (only on evenings and weekends - I hope, that is - of the school's classes) at the same time. But if you've seen our campus on Google maps or wikimapia, there is a kilometer long access road that would be perfect for skating. Hmmm, that gives me an idea, maybe I'll propose a skating lane. Thanks for the suggestions of career opportunities. That would definitely be something to put on the checklist. In the meantime, I will only know if I was approved for my last required course as a special class on Wednesday, so fingers crossed. As for the student committing suicide, I just hope it doesn't reach the point where they decide that the school was at fault for having a college guidance counselor that wasn't always at her post. And I hope the parents don't stick the point that we hired a new guidance counselor because of that tragedy. There are more sad and frustrating additions to that tale, which I'll relate next time. On grid puzzles, good for you and Diona! I made a Sudoku solver in a spreadsheet I could send you if you like. Right now I'm playing Picross for the DS. It's closer to Minesweeper. Session 2349 now wonders what to do with the two birds hit. Class dismissed. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
