Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

Two more online journal comments, disguised spam again but getting somewhat smarter.

First says just "Great article. Thanks for the great resource." On the same day at the same time, and from one same email address but two sites that have different extensions, is a longer one:

"Good post! I plan to move into this stuff after I'm done with school, as most of it is time consuming. It's a great post to reference back to. My blog needs more time to gain in popularity anyway."

It would have fooled me with its proper English, but all that mention of "resource", "this stuff", "reference" and "needs more time to gain in popularity" made me suspicious.

@@ Blanking out again; as if nothing really substantial happened over the weekend, which isn't true.

I got to try out that All-Talk offering for a hundred pesos. It's very addicting, and can be shared by several people in the family or in the same workplace for all their call needs.

And it's a promo after all, only available until the end of September. Again, maybe if it's lucrative enough, then they'll make it a permanent fixture among their services.

@@ Yes, as the new director (just a change in title, not in rank or pay) in charge of student affairs I should be more in touch with the concerns of the students than any others.

That is with the possible exception of the guidance counselor, and she told me that she would tell me directly if there was any negative feedback about me that is consistent.

This means that this negative feedback that did come up is from someone who is not in touch with the regular students.

That it is only one disgruntled soul who took the opportunity because of one willing ear to listen, and exaggerated the plight due to the sense of desperation and frustration felt.

By exaggeration, the following are implied: that the complainer comes off as more squeaky clean and blameless than is actually the case, that the complainer comes off as having been more hardworking and martyred than is actually the case, and that the offender comes off as more clueless and more incapable of making decisions than is the case.

I'd say bring them on. I won't come out with a public statement about this just because of one person whose only power is to spread rumors. Two can play at that game and in the same court with possibly the same balls and walls to bounce off of.

Session 2725 knows that if the slackers are whining to just about anybody but are not showing themselves, then they know they don't have a case to stand on. Class dismissed.
