2009-07-15 2:34 PM Getting Along with People Student "edition" found at {thoughts dot com slash typed no space out no space loud slash blog}.
Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on. Yesterday I waited for some co-teachers of mine to finish their classes, which were up to 1250pm, before lunch. They didn't pass by my office, so I assumed they had eaten, and went down to the cafeteria myself. They were there, and since they brought it up that it was my fault they didn't know where I was (despite having had this conversation before when they were looking for me at the engineering faculty room one time during the previous weeks) I decided to act disappointed even though I wasn't. Today I thought I was supposed to have lunch with the guidance counselor to prepare for our leadership camp follow-up next week. It turns out she wasn't in her office, and that the lunch arrangement may have been set for yesterday. Anyway, I went down to the cafeteria anyway, and there was the dean and the administrative assistant setting down to eat so I joined them. I only had a light lunch of one cup of rice and some potato vine or river spinach in oyster sauce. I got back to the office at around 1245pm, and settled down for another three hours of sitting in the student center. The same co-teachers who forgot to include me in their lunch plans yesterday arrived and started singing some song about "don't look so glum, don't think too much" even though I had my back to them. They saw my snack of egg cracklings from this morning, and they thought when I said I had already eaten, I meant I was going to eat only that, and that was too light to be healthy, they kept arguing. So even though I'd already set up the computer for me to use, I shut it off muttering "just to end all discussion." Worse, a student showed up, the same student who thought we're so close that I'd pay for tickets for her younger sister to win in this pageant in another school, and asked for the remainder of my cracklings. What was the final nail in the coffin? Because of a sudden thunderstorm, the elevator was turned off and I had to walk up four flights of stairs to return to the student center. So, bought food that I didn't get to finish, therefore I had to buy more food, twice, once for just the company and my momentum of thought after having already sat in front of my computer was broken. That's the closest to an F.M.L. that I'll be posting, and only here because it's too long to go on the site itself. There really are people here who don't get me and my habits, who would rather use the blanket term "moody", and who themselves hold a grudge when I can't accommodate them right here right now. The problem is that these kinds of things can wreck one's disposition for the rest of the day, and it's difficult to get back on track. Session 2729 now also has to deal with someone in a social network chat who keeps replying with "hahaha". Class dismissed. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
