Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on. My post here will be relatively short today because the student accessible version was longer than usual. It was not of sufficient length for me to need to cut it into two parts, which I believe would have lessened the impact I was going for with an entry that got my entire point across. In it I targeted the apathetic students, who I blamed for the government being the way it is. But that is as much deconstruction (damn the latest episode of Top Chef that I watched) of that other piece of writing; I will not make it into a habit to explain here what I wrote there. I am also severely suspicious of the student council of the college wanting to distribute flyers at the nearby communities, because it is something they can say they will do without any authority figure being there to dispute what they did, and it is something they can just do for an hour or two and make as an excuse not to have to return to school. That is why I would rather that they did what the brother president suggested, which is a house to house visit, with the school van accompanying them to collect the donations. But as it is, it requires the least effort, but not with maximum return in mind. Session 2817 knows this is too critical of them. Class dismissed.
