2010-01-08 3:12 PM Violators of Common Decency Student "edition" found at {thoughts dot com slash typed no space out no space loud slash blog}.
Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on. The discipline officer is holding off signing the clearances of the students who are taking a leave of absence. This is because of violations such as dress code. There is no sanction because it is still a warning, but the discipline officer still wants the students to talk to the officer for the welfare of students before he signs their forms. I am of two minds about this. In the first place, it is just a warning, and it is possible that these students will not anymore enroll here. In the second place, maybe if they see the trouble they go through just to have their clearances signed, even for just warnings of violation, then they will think twice about disobeying. @@ I had the following correspondence marked for approval in my other online journal again today: Intimately, the post is really the greatest on this valuable topic. I agree with your conclusions and will eagerly look forward to your future updates. Saying thanks will not just be enough, for the exceptional clarity in your writing. I will directly grab your rss feed to stay privy of any updates. Solid work and much success in your business enterprise! Talk about generic, and believe that people will just want to accept such all-encompassing compliments from a complete stranger for their real friends to read, and maybe, just maybe, also click on the site that they included, probably curious about the person writing, but led to a commercial site instead. Here is another, shorter and therefore more vague: Thanks for posting such useful stuff i got all the information that was required it is such a beautiful blog, thanks for posting such great posts. The last one is not so subtle: Yeah I agree This blog is so wonderful. Just like [name withheld] Website. He is a self-proclaimed modern day prophet. His diverse and extemporaneous perspective has gained him notoriety that transcends culture, race and religion, placing him onto a world platform. Its mission is to reach the unreachable and touch the untouchable through a message of hope, enrichment and the healing of haunting memories. Check it, I am sure that you will love it. I just realized that whatever spambot or bot of a mind posted this just read the title, which had the word prophetic in it, and assumed it was relevant enough to get approved. Sorry, you need to look deeper than that. I mean, what the heck? It is like people who use your story to springboard into their own spotlight hogging tales of themselves. It is very tempting to turn off comments altogether, all though just like real gems among the common rocks, there are rare treasures found. Maybe there are even others out there who also involve the adversarial tack, believing that attacking the ego will have a person just as willing to approve a post and write a counter-argument as feed the stroking of the ego. Now the question is: would having one identification number for each person to log on the net deter this? And revoke the license of those who abuse this privilege? Big Brother? Why did William Gibson not foresee these? Session 2907 people sink lower than we can predict. Class dismissed. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
