Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

I think I mentioned before, even though it was not here, that I value chronological posting instead of by topic.

But that of course assumes that what I wrote about yesterday has bearing on what I will write today.

Sometimes that is not the case. Like today, I have no update on the forum I talked about yesterday.

I was texting the faculty I asked to accompany them about the status, but there was no answer.

It is now almost 11pm, and I have read the transcript or live blog of the forum. Since the questions were preloaded to the candidates, so to speak, there was no chance of blindsiding them.

It could be just the format of the transcript, but it looked scripted, except maybe for the question about charging the current president. I do not know how many more of these the people could stand.

@@ As I mentioned in the student accessible version, I am at the Oasis of Prayer after having stopped in 2008.

And the last time I was here, it was not even overnight; that would be further back to February of that year. That was the famous batch that included our graduate inmate where the facilitator walked out.

It was the last batch where there were separate cottages for the students, and for good reason.

They may have been doing drugs in their room, and their group mindset had made them want to wait for one another, probably to have one last smoke while the last one showered. They may have had the united we stand groupthink.

Curiously enough, groupthink is accepted by the spellchecker. This software continues to surprise me.

It was also a pain to have to go around several cottages telling the students they should go to the session hall already.

Anyway, I will be talking about the changes to the place in the student accessible version for tomorrow.

For now, all I will say is that I was stupidly optimistic in thinking that this will end tomorrow morning.

Apparently, it will still be an all day session, which will force me to back out of the plans I already have for tomorrow afternoon, all the way in QC at that. Of course it cannot be an early evening to late morning session!

Also, am thankful it is the same facilitator as in the other college student retreats, because I still have to apologize to him for walking out of the afternoon session of his recollection for the college faculty in April of last year.

I had the excuse of the student portal presentation (was it really almost a year ago that it was started?) but really it was the bad influence of slacker co-teacher (long time since I mentioned him) that made us leave.

Session 2935 will write on a Saturday again, yes! Class dismissed.
