Mood: Not Thinking Alike Read/Post Comments (0) |
2010-02-27 1:00 AM Overturned By Uncommon Sense Student "edition" found at {thoughts dot com slash typed no space out no space loud slash blog}.
Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on. So from visiting the top of several pyramids the past days, now I am back to the side of mine. The side is where I have to deal with those above me and those below me, sometimes in the same room. As I have mentioned in the student accessible version, there were meetings to deal with yesterday. Here I will go into more detail than I did in that other blog, because there are some decisions I do not agree with. For example, taking away the acrylic or fiberglass boards beside the elevator = bad move. Students spend a lot of their time waiting for the elevators. They have a better chance of scanning the posters there while standing rather than walking down the hallways. I thought in our last meeting that there was a proposal, in fact, to place a second board on the right side of the elevator, for more postings. This, for me, would have made more sense. Instead, right now we are on the last weeks of the left side elevator posting boards. There will be a lot of things ending with this school year including but not limited to the term of the current brother president, the smoking area and the casual dressing of the college students. @@ The second meeting was about the eco camp. I do not know how it got out to the head of grounds development (what used to be just the physical facilities office) that I personally do not like the head of the institute for the environment, and that I am thankful that the camp was not taken out of their hands since they used to make it into a money making venture, doubling the fee asked of the participants to keep some cash for their own use, well supposedly for the use of the institute. Anyway, I am glad that they are out of the picture, or at least the old geezer is. He still sent a representative to be in our first big meeting, although that rep was not there in the meeting last Friday. This is despite the fact that he was in the mailing group we made, and I believe there was sufficient time for him to clear his schedule or at least announce his absence. Okay, my beef is not with him. We were able to get a lot of things done without him. I just hope that the old man does not decide to suddenly make an appearance at our camp, opening OR closing ceremonies, or worse yet, ask to be one of the speakers. Session 2981 will practice the ninja I-do-not-want-to-be-in-the-same-room-as-this-guy moves again. Class dismissed. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
