Several weeks ago now, I was getting ready for a trip to the ATM, and came across a check that I thought I'd deposited ages ago. "Whoops! I'd better get that one to the bank!" I thought. So, I went and made my deposit, and lo and behold, I get a letter from Wells Fargo, saying that this check wasn't in the deposit, and they're not going to credit me for it. So, I call them, because I clearly remember putting this check in the deposit envelope. So, we go back and forth for a while. They investigate and don't find the check. I get a copy of the check faxed to me from the folks who wrote it originally. Many phone calls to the bank ensue. So, just now, they call. They found the check. I deposited it in November. So the question in my mind is, what the heck did I come across in February, mistake for a check, endorse, and attempt to deposit into my ATM? I was tempted to grovel before the bank representative for my extreme stupidity, but instead I just thanked her for her time and got off the phone. I'm hoping there is not a note in my file saying, "This person is probably too stupid to be allowed to have a checking account." February was not a good month for me. I seem to be doing better in March. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
