The manual that has been my "Big Project" of late is off to the printer. Whew. I'm pretty proud of it, and I made the deadline, but things got a little hairy there for a while. A few of the subject matter experts started coming up with all kinds of information they wanted added to the manual. When I had about 24 hours before it was due to go to the printer. Erk.

Apparently I let a few cracks show in my normally impenetrable verneer of unflappability. To quote a coworker: "You? Frazzled? But you're never frazzled! Welcome to the world the rest of us live in!"

I try very hard not to get frazzled in response to deadlines. Being frazzled doesn't lend itself to writing well, or editing and proofreading well, or to any of the things that absolutely need to get done if one is going to meet a deadline.

Anyway, now that my deadline is met, I can go enjoy a nice lazy weekend. I have nothing in particular planned to do. Except to sit in the sun with a glass of lemonade and read a novel. Mmmmm.
