Our air conditioner is being flaky, so we've spent most of the daylight hours this weekend trying to be somewhere else where the air conditioning is working.

On Saturday, I got up before Daniel did and did the workout from Yoga for Wimps, noticing with considerable pleasure that I'm less of a wimp than I was before. (I can bend over and touch my toes while keeping my legs straight. I don't know that I've ever been able to do that before.)

I've thrown a smattering of other yoga workout DVDs into my Netflix queue. I seem to get along well with yoga. I'm even thinking of trying to find a yoga class to take.

Then we went to see Pirates of the Caribbean 2, which I ended up enjoying quite a bit, though I thought it got off to an unpromising start. (It was slow at the start, and, honestly, the cannibals were silly. You could have removed the cannibals, and the film would not have suffered a bit.)

This morning, I went to the farmers' market, and then Daniel and I went to Starbucks for a while. Then I went for a walk, in the hottest part of the day, because I'm an idiot. (Not a complete idiot - I drank some water and put on sunscreen before I went. And I wore a hat. But still, when I was about 45 minutes out and therefore 45 minutes from home, the most significant thoughts running through my mind were, "Wow, it's hot," and "I am a complete idiot for going for a walk in this heat.") After I came back from my walk, I ate a plum from the farmers' market, which was The Best Plum Ever, and I'm now sitting here trying to absorb as much water as is humanly possible.

I figure I'll be rehydrated by the time it's time to cook dinner.
