Then he was followed by another, and another, and two more, and another. Total count: about 10 police motorcycles and 1 police van marked 'NASA ARC'.
I have no idea what was going on - I haven't been able to find any local news reports on it. It didn't even slow down traffic. Yesterday evening, as Daniel and I were driving south on 680 in San Jose, going to grab some dinner, we spotted a police cruiser going in the opposite direction, lights and sirens on. It was followed by another, then two more, then another...again, we counted 10. Even after we exited 680, we passed police cars travelling in the opposite direction. By the time we were coming back from dinner, there were signs out saying 680 was closed in both directions, and we had to take a slightly longer route home. On this one, a quick google provided the answer: an off-duty police officer was struck and injured by a piece of debris. It doesn't seem clear whether it was accidental or deliberate. Here's hoping that this morning's commute will be police-activity-free! Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
