So I am still recovering from this flu/ or cold. I don't know what it is. I ate a whole pizza hut pizza today. Talk about piggin out. Not that much to do. Ready to get back to Vegas. I guess there I will be able to practice my slam pieces and maybe get inspired to write new stuff. I haven't written anything new in over a month. I have gone longer. I just feel in a non writing mood. Maybe I need to go hang out in some lounges or something. I don't think I have many obligations to the slam team for a while. I definitely need to memorize everything. It sucks that Bill Maher was fired. Anytime someone thinks outside the mold in this country they get quashed. Wait a sec. Reality check. Bill Maher has lots of money from the show. I don't. No need to feel sorry for Maher. Feel sorry for me. No no no. I am spoiled. My Uncle took me out to Nobu at the Hard Rock Hotel the other day, and David Spade was at the table next to ours. He had a bout five average looking guys with him. Probably high school buddies. I didn't bother him. I don't know much of his work. Oddly enough, I saw him a few years ago at a Pretenders concert at the House of Blues. He hangs out in Vegas a lot. I guess I will spend June getting applications to other MFA and PhD programs and submitting to more journals. I may have to wait til September to submit to some journals. I hope Long Beach or UW wants me. But I know it is a numbers game, and I have really cool parents who understand and support me in more ways than one. Well... One more full day as a Flagstaff resident. I think I will go see my former office mate Matt Ray play with his band, The Wild Whiskey Boys. They are playing tomorrow I think. |
