Well... my feature at Iowa Cafe went really well... I think I entertained everyone.

I probably did 30 minutes. I did three new pieces... and it went over pretty well... although my guitar was out of tune...

I don't think I will ever sing at an open mike again... but maybe for features and such.

I did The Mistake, Minutes of the George W. Fan Club, Sugar Mommy, Alatot, Sea of Vomit, Screws Loose, Sex Manual, and Froggy Fights Back.

I also gave Rene Christy a Flagstaff Slam CD.
I figured it was a nice gesture... she did a lot for me and for everyone in the poetry and music scene. She is constantly battling health problems... but keeps on providing places for singers and poets.

I had about 20 people in the audience including a lot of people who came out to support me. It was really cool. I also gave out candy.

Also... I went to see Comedian:Seinfeld... I think that is what it was called... today.

It was excellent. A good portrait of the creative process and the life behind a comedian. There were three generations of comedian in the film... Chris Rock and Orny Adams; Jerry Seinfeld, and Collin Quinn; and Bill Cosby and Robert Klein... not to mention Jay Leno, Garry Shandling and a few others...

Tomorrow... I am going to Jitters to see Bear read... Kevin Sampsell and Barbara Klansnic are reading at Roma with Figler... but Figler by name will guarantee a good crowd. Bear... may not get a good audience... Actually... I met Bear a while back. He is really cool. I met him at the AWP in Palm Springs in 2001.

Well... I am thinking about relearning lots of my songs and playing out again... maybe I can write new ones... and occasionally do features of song and poetry and sketch... I am reading a book about Performance Art. And essentially... that is what I do... so why not bring it all back in to play.

Ciao.
