Essential u2. Entire album- Boy MLK Bad The Unforgettable Fire Exit A Sort of Homecoming All I want is You Jesus Christ Stay Lemon Dirty Day Miss Sarejevo Your Blue Room Gone New York One Step Closer White As Snow I like the pop hits, but they don't stick with me as much as the album cuts. The tracks listed above are some of the band's finest work in my opinion. The group has plenty of haters and naysayers, and deservedly so. But also, they have filled a niche in pop music, taking the stadium band and investing a lyrical importance. Sunday Bloody Sunday from "War" perhaps gave them credibility as a rock band, perhaps taking up the flag for the Clash as they began to dissolve. Who doesn't remember the video of Bono carrying the flag in foggy Red Rocks Amphitheater? U2 is limited in their musical ability, a fact that the Edge will admit to in the documentary "It Might Get Loud" the guitar pedals, the recorded tracks that boost their live sound, and the obvious influence of Brian Eno have made them sound so full and polished.
