I"m not saying this is the worst, or even terrible, just unfortunate that you'd have to be stuck doing it:

I meeting a friend for lunch who I haven't seen in a year. I arrive at the mall that's been under refurbishment for about 8 months, and due to finish this month.

I finally get parking, and up to the restaurant, to find a lone uniformed employee in front, who has the unfortunate duty of telling each and every person who arrives that the restaurant has now closed for refurbishment for the next 2 months.

Just a poor employee standing in the sun alone, next to construction trucks, offering directions to the two nearest other restaurants of that chain.

That really must be depressing to do.

And while I was mad that after all these months the restaurant *now* had decided to close, I certainly couldn't be mad at this unfortunate, no doubt, underpaid employee.
