various and sundry

well life in higashimurayama is busy with kindergarten stuff (had to make a bag for an emergency head cover, an apron, and several meetings) naoto job search stuff (he doesn't want me to talk about it too much), last minute tickets to seattle (including all the financial wrangling that involves when buying tickets from us companies with credit cards with foreign addresses) and me being sick.

naoto's job continues to be frustrating for him. that doesn't make for a very sunshiney naoto life.

anyway, as soon as there is definite news on the job front or the suzuki/lincoln family moving front I will let y'all know.

meanwhile I am waiting for Strange horizons to accept/reject the interview i did with yoshio kobayashi and christopher barzak. I am also in the middle of the lovecraftian-esque translation.

In my spare time I try to keep the floor clean so crawling Maika doesn't have bits of rice crud stuck to her knees all the time.

sigh.

yes, so glamorous, the life of the ex-pat housewife.
