Yasmin Levy- Irme Kero

The Endicott Redux blog introduced me to Seth Lakeman, and often features interesting videos on Mondays.

I have to say that after listening to Yasmin Levy and her eerily beautiful back up band (especially that middle easterny- wooden recorder that just makes me think of sand) I guess I pretty much love any music that they choose to feature there. (also check out the lullaby Nani Nani available on Youtube, fairly passionate a capella singing)

Yasmin Levy supports music of the Sephardic Jews (which I know means Spanish Jews because of the awesome recipes in the Sephardic Jew section of Molly Klatzen's Sundays at the Moosewood Cookbook.)
