People complain about musicals.
They say:

Nobody just stops in the street
and breaks into song.

I say you know the wrong people.

ILY minus 14 days and counting - no, really

Journal entries with ILY in the titles are about the short screen musical
I LOVE YOU, I'M SORRY, AND I'LL NEVER DO IT AGAIN,
currently in pre-production.

I'm very excited and pleased to let you know that the role of Eddie will be played by Peter Linari, whom the criminously oriented will remember as private detective Joe Coopersmith in The Curse of the Jade Scorpion.

I'm really looking forward to this shoot.

As for the title of this entry: the Dashboard Widget that's been counting down days until we shoot told me it was 14 days away 4 days ago. It was actually 14 days away yesterday. Our first day of shooting will be February 16.

Boy, that could have been embarrassing.

Dave the DP and I are now diving headlong into the construction of the shooting schedule. That web page updates automatically to reflect the calendar program on my laptop. What's up there right now is a very rough first pass that took 10 minutes. It will change, probably drastically.

Once the major blocks of time have been roughed in and the old-fashioned production board and production strips are delivered, we'll stop using computers. Until then, the more compulsive of you can follow our scheduling progress as it occurs!

And how's that for a dry journal entry? Back to caffeine and preproduction...
