I've started revising my latest science fiction story. This will be my first SF submission in four years and my third overall. The beta responses are in (well, five out of six) and I know what I need to do. Clarify the premise, polish the ending. Totally doable.

In theory, I still might wuss out and not do the rewrite. It's happened a few times already, in the years since my last SF submission. But I won't. I'm ready. This story might not make any bigger ripples in the slush pile than the last two, but it's time to find out.

Once I, you know, revise it.
