Your Favorite Annoying Teen

...Honestly? What is with some professors? I love my soc professor but from a librarian and student perspective there are two key point one should think about before placing something on reserve.
1) Do not put all of the class reserve readings in one folder. It may make your life easier because you don't have to fill out all of those slips but seriously? It is bad for the students in your class if they only want one article and not all of them...Also if more than one student needs part of that reserve they have to wait for someone to bring the whole thing back. Oh and if the student that does have it out gives it to another student who needs a different article than they are reading YOU HAVE NO WAY TO TRACK THAT CRAP IF IT GOES MISSING! LIBRARIAN HELL, KAY???
2) Do not print things in size two font just to save paper. Dude...my eyes do not read print that small. Fer reelz here. Not nice. Do not attempt to murder my flarfin' eyeballs. It would be better if he just e-mailed us the JSTOR link than subject us to that bull crappola.

Anyhoo that is my professor rant of the day. I work in the library, yo. I know my shiz about reserves. I have a year and half's worth experience with it. I don't care if you have your Ph.D....I have my Library Lady Mad Knowledge Skillz and they say "USTED! ME NO GUSTA! ARREGLAR LO!"

Second day back and I feel pretty good about life still. My history courses will be a lot of reading but I am ready for it. The topics are interesting and will hold me. But *gasp* for the first time there is an actual male majority in one of my classes. I counted five times today during my sem. They are a good group though. I know most of them by face and name already and it should be a good class. I am really looking forward to it. There is a LOT you can do with the Industrial Revolution. Like crazy stuff. I like the openness.

But I need to get going now. I need to shower, then find a readable version of my reserve online....
