Read/Post Comments (0) Hello, I am YFAT or Lo. I have been writing/around on Journal Scape for over a decade now. Time flies! This journal chronicles my random thoughts, high moments and sometimes low, throughout high school, college, and now beyond, into the world of "adulthood", whatever that means. Sinerely, ~Lo |
2009-02-24 4:39 PM Language Let me just say...having two classes with the same professor on the same day is semi-maddening because it means both of my midterms are due on the same day and I still owe her stuff. I will be writing and reading for this woman FO-EH-VAH!! Holy bob.
I do like the class material though. I have seen two movies with this guy in them now and I must say he is pretty darn cool. I think I may be a fan. Gerard Depardieu rocks my socks as Arnaud de Tihl in Le Retour de Martin Guerre and Toussaint Mahue in Germinal and apparently he was in Paris, je t'aime as well. I must re-watch that and find him. I kind of love this guy now. He is a seriously kick ass actor. Thank you history class. I feel like I am learning two languages at once sort of. Ben=mundo lover of French. History professor=specialized in French. Me=has watched three French films in the past two months. Spanish is cool and all but French seems to be trying to invade me. Agh....Language confusion. I must make it a point to try and watch Spanish films now and so that I may actually become proficient at that language or not flounder in it so much. I think as far as pronunciation goes I am getting it more in Spanish and things here and there. I still suck major on quizzes but I am kind of getting it. I like the flow of it and the sound. But I am catching on to French at the same time. I have no gift for languages but I am kind of getting them. The more you learn another language the more you realized how little sense English makes. Like, what the fuzzle, yo? I mean the only thing that seems outright wonky to me about Spanish/French/German, etc... is the gendering of words. That has to make gender studies so weird to talk about in those countries when the language itself has a gender divide. I mean it probably makes sense to the speakers but the idea of just assigning a gender to most words is so STRANGE!!! Anyhoo, I just felt like droppin' some lines before dinner before I plunge in to my write-a-paper-thon. Peace. ~Lo 22 days of YFAT Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
