Read/Post Comments (1) Hello, I am YFAT or Lo. I have been writing/around on Journal Scape for over a decade now. Time flies! This journal chronicles my random thoughts, high moments and sometimes low, throughout high school, college, and now beyond, into the world of "adulthood", whatever that means. Sinerely, ~Lo |
2009-03-15 1:40 PM Yo homies Okay so my streak is over. Oops.
I never was good at the blog-a-day thing.... Anyhoo, I'm HOME!!!! I haven't done much besides lay in bed, play Gaia zOMG, browse IMVU and read The Painted Man...gah...The WARDED Man....Seriously, wuh tuh fuh? I mean I know it makes sense but it's hard to break the habit of calling it the Painted Man. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ I just finished reading it in it's hardcover form. 416 pages and small font actually go by pretty fast. It was nice being reacquainted with the characters. I must say I like Arlen more than the Warded Man. He was less of an asshole to be honest. I also wanted more of him and his adventures as a Messenger. I think it's because I was spoiled by reading the Great Bazaar which is like....the most kick ass action sequence ever and has Abban...who I love. Seriously, I mourn that that is not in the book but that is why Peat has his Excisions page and special print versions of the book coming out. If he included all that the book it would be Harry Potter-7 length even with the small print. Rojer is definitely my favorite character. Whenever I read about him playing his violin I get CHILLS. I mean the Warded Man has his wards and Leesha has her herbs but honestly I think Rojer is the most powerful one as the power he has comes most purely from himself. He can charm demons and change their moods, their movements, by playing the music within him. As far the book mentions there are no other cultures or histories yet discovered of a musican's power with demons. Rojer is self-taught and lead in the way he plays. He had some instruction from the other Jongleur but it is all his own. Leesha and the Warded Man...it is external sources, previous knowledge and things that definitely existed before that have been modified and collected to fight demons/save peeople. Rojer also felt the most real to me in the way he just kind of took things and did what he had to. He has a lot of guilt and things but...he stays rather level I think and he tried hard for others. He is hope, he is creativity. He represents any-man of the three of them I think. So he is my hero. I hope I am not spoiling too much. If I am, oops. I can sleep now though. I was up late two nights just reading in chunks. The book already has the marks of love and use that my books acquire, tell tale signs of "Yes, I actually read this and was eating or I was reading in the bath tub. Yes, it was glued to my hand. Be a hater, see ya later." ~~~~~~~~~~~ So now I get to read my text books. But I don't mind. They are interesting. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Our puppy is so big! He's almost as big as his mom and he is maybe six months old, tops. German Shepards grow so fast! I forgot. He is a pretty boy. Very loving. He pals around with Eva all the time and still "puppy piles" (they all pass out laying almost on each other). Very cute. Other than that not much happening. We are picking up chickens on Tuesday. Wednesday I am going out with mom and Nanny and apparently they are refusing to give me money because they know I will just save it and "the point of a birthday is to get a gift" and not to stash money. Grr rawr. Haha. I can't help that I am not a shopaholic spender. But what do I ever buy? Books and music and with books now I'm all "HELLOOOOOO! Library, peeps. Duh." Music it's like....$10 or less or that shiz better be free (I don't download, I'm still "old school" with CDs). But that's the only news for now. Peace. ~Lo 3 days of YFAT Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
