A summery of Your Favorite Annoying T...

Hello, I am YFAT or Lo. I have been writing/around on Journal Scape for over a decade now. Time flies! This journal chronicles my random thoughts, high moments and sometimes low, throughout high school, college, and now beyond, into the world of "adulthood", whatever that means.

Sinerely, ~Lo

Quicky!

Third week of school almost over already?! GAH!!!

Thankfully things are still going pretty well. This week I was in a bit of a crunch because I had to write two essays in two days (three counting a quiz) and I definitely did not manage to get all my reading done. Next week promises to be a bit of a killer week as far as homework goes (an essay, research prospectus and a quiz to do for just one class) so this weekend I get to crack down.
I am going out to have lunch with my relatives so I'll finally be getting off campus. I'm picking up my new specs too so I'll have the weekend to adjust to my new vision and new face in the mirror.

I really am enjoying my classes. Sometimes I ask questions that people can't seem to wrap their minds around though, such as a reason that we might have been so critical of the Progressive movement in WWI is that we can't wrap our minds around that collective perspective because individualism is such a forceful part of the American identity, even in the more mutualistic sections of society. The professor understood me but the rest of the class was like "Erm...?" It was the sociologist and anthropologist in me colliding in class. I try to not be the cynic in class. Cynicism is just far too easy. It has gotten me into some pretty darn hearty debates though...

I finally walked with Tall Matt. He sorta invited yesterday at dinner (which he has been casually joining me for more often) since when he was done eating he said "I think I'll going to a walk now..."-poignant stare at me-
I am renaming him King Strider because while he was perfectly fine in his step and giant winter coat I shed my coat, unzipped my thin hoodie and still managed to have sweat trickling down my back. It felt good though, to have a bit of a challenge next me. We'll see how he is at hiking one of these days, bwhahaha.
I was mostly silent for the time, just letting him talk, which he doesn't do too often. I learned more about him that way, letting the words slide into my bank of knowledge. He got me to laugh a few times which as I am inferring is a goal of his lately (if he can get me to start snorting that's extra bonus points because lets face it: when someone breaks into snort-laughing it's hilarious).

Agh! Crap! I need to go to class now but I'll finish when I get back!
Peace.
~Lo
