Read/Post Comments (0) Hello, I am YFAT or Lo. I have been writing/around on Journal Scape for over a decade now. Time flies! This journal chronicles my random thoughts, high moments and sometimes low, throughout high school, college, and now beyond, into the world of "adulthood", whatever that means. Sinerely, ~Lo |
2015-04-22 7:14 PM I Have the Dumb I've been riding a bike around the city (when there isn't snow on the ground or wind in the 30 mph range) for roughly three years now. You'd think I know more about the things but I don't. I have the freaking dumb when it comes to mechanics or anything but "Oooh, that looks pretty." I am a decent city rider. I signal, wear brights, stop at lights and stop signs, and maneuver okay.
BUT I CANNOT FORKING FIX THE THING AND IT IS SO ANNOYING! I feel like I should understand my brakes but nope. The knowledge osmosis of horse knowledge I had a child/teenager does not seem to apply to me with bikes. Priding myself in being an educated person I feel severely lacking here. If there was a class on bike repair I would take it. I guess I need to get more into the biking community itself though. I said I would, even bought a membership at one point, but I haven't renewed it. I think I feel kind of intimidated to be honest, and I'm never quite hardcore enough. I'm slightly afraid of looking like an asshat. I've dragged my heels about bikes like I've dragged my heels about jobs and I need to stop it! Time to re-up my membership I guess. Ugh. Sincerely, Lo Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
