Last night, as I was preparing myself to drift off to sleep, a story idea popped into my head. I think it was just a title, or maybe it was a scene? The problem is, I don't know this morning because I didn't write it down! Argghh!

Ordinarily I'd just shrug and not even worry about it, but this sort of thing drives me mad when I'm ready to work on a new writing project. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea anyhow because I didn't even remember I'd forgotten (if you know what I mean) until after I'd had breakfast, checked my email and read a few blogs.

What can I do? *shrug* Ah well. If it occurs to me at some point today, then great. If not, that's no big deal - ideas are a dime a dozen and I've got a tonne of them rotting away in a big pile. Now if you'll excuse me, I must shovel through the compost heap of ideas and see if there's anything I can use...
