Woohoo! While preparing a bagel for lunch, that idea I thought I'd lost popped into my head. I can't see any connection between the idea and the bagel, so I can only assume my brain had been working away on the sly when I gave up trying to remember it. Curiouser and curiouser...

Speaking of Total Recall, I highly recommend the original Philip K Dick short story - We Can Remember It For You Wholesale - that spawned the multi-million dollar Arnie action-flick. The story is contained in the collection of the same name and differs quite a bit from the movie. There are also four other books of PKD's collected short stories worth checking out. Lots of good stuff :)

I forgot to add the latest word count stats to my entry the other day for the additions to The Bunyip during editing. This is one of the rare occasions when I actually know how many words were added during editing :) Et voila!
