Man, editing is a lot of work! I reckon at least three-quarters of the effort in writing short stories goes into the editing process. Unless of course there's a tonne of research involved, which would tend to reduce that percentage somewhat. It reminds me a little of software development - only a tiny fraction of time is spent actually coding, with the rest being devoted to design, testing, integration and so forth.

So why the whining? I'm still working on editing The Bunyip, that's why! Target date for completion of editing is Wednesday this week, but I'm hoping to have it done sooner than that. Since it is so close to completion, I've updated the Projects page with the new title, as mentioned in a previous journal entry. It's nothing too exciting, but seems more apt :)

I've been going on about progress for this story ever since I started this journal, so I'll be glad to talk about something new later this week...
